Album dedicated to my mother, Dr. Nhu.

These pieces come to me as letters finally opened after so many years. Finally able to touch the notes that I had given up years ago, I find these pieces full of yearning, exploratory, complex, experimental, as all of life is.

To magnify the smallness, humbleness and yet the majesty of life, the music lived, an exploration of a journey. All the mishaps, luck, and yes, courage that one uses to go forward. The harmonious and discordant events of turmoil, the layers of a voice, to understand the inner voices, . . . the darkness, bleak hole, bitter medicine. To go to source of music, poetry, words, feeling, everything that transports us.

These are experiments in sound as well as in life, notes to a life tossed around. Like a flower, one opens to hear what one has inside. One waits, one listens, one moves and acts, and then there is the repose to think about it all.

As if I stepping into a realm, new and rejuvenating, yet familiar bubbling from the past. The music rushes, like the waves onto shore, and I myself don’t understand all of it as it comes. Only motion and emotion, and each piece is a journey. Thank you very much for your support.
